Brian Yellowhorse is an immensely skilled Navajo craftsman. A member of the Kiiyaa’a’a nii Clan (Towering House People), Brian developed a passion for channel inlay at a young age. He learned techniques from his father and grandfather, and his craft has blossomed since then. Brian strongly believes in fuse his techniques and designs with his Navajo identity.

The Buck 112 came into being when a couple of sailors got into a knife fight with their Buck 110 blades and the Navy banned knives of a certain length. In response, Buck Knives came out with this compact version so sailors could still have their pocket knives for their daily tasks—but hopefully refrain from any future knife fights. With the Buck 112, the Yellowhorses turned to customization and took these knives and worked their magic to make something altogether extraordinary. The Yellowhorse family are Navajo Native American silversmiths who have been making works of art for generations. Their beautiful custom knives use unique materials and designs to make one of a kind pieces. These popular handmade blades are also produced in limited runs, so knife collectors consider themselves lucky if they manage to snag one for their own.
